Primary Responsibilities of the Function:
- Be both a project lead and a technical executor, who makes strategic decisions to develop and manage new structures and data integrations.
- Participate in the maintenance and development of the data warehouse design.
- Drive projects to create and optimize ETL processes using Microsoft Stack and Azure Cloud technologies.
- Investigate and implement the mapping between different data sources.
- Maintain, build, and improve SQL queries and stored procedures in the data warehouse to prepare and analyze data.
- Build reports to show insights about newly integrated data.
- Develop control structures to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Create technical documentation for BI tools.
- Maintain and improve the monitoring and refinement of data models and reports.
- Support the team with day-to-day tasks and troubleshooting processes.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any related field of study.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in Business Intelligence Development, Data engineering or Data warehousing.
- Previous experience with data warehouse management. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server is a plus.
- Previous experience working with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, stored procedures and ETL processes.
- Experience with Cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS, etc.). Azure Analysis Services and SSAS Tabular model knowledge is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with SSIS, and Data Lake is a plus.
- Strong understanding of server maintenance tasks (performance optimization, indexing, backups, quality checks, etc.).
- Being able to translate business needs into future-proof data models.
- Knowledge of other programming languages such as Python is a plus.
- Experience with data governance is a plus.
- Self-motivated and comfortable operating in a rapidly changing environment.
