Job description
  • Ensure that accounts payable and accounts receivable data is processed in a confidential and timely manner
  • Ensures that accounts payable invoices are accurate and authorized for payment
  • Performs transaction processing related to accounts receivable payments, revenue collection and bank deposits
  • Keeps track of receivables and ensures wire transfers are being received
  • Processes accounts receivable and revenue collection functions, including preparing and issuing invoices to clients and following up on outstanding invoices
  • Ensures accurate processing to accounts in compliance with appropriate policies and procedures, with correct application of taxes
  • Daily and weekly reporting of invoicing totals, aging totals, cash receipts and invoice adjustments
  • Review and improve quality of invoicing and collection procedures
  • Monitor and report on deviations from credit standards
  • Conduct credit checks on new and existing clients
  • Reacting quickly and working with the appropriate persons when an issue occurs with an account or specific campaign
  • Offering excellent account support through phone communication, emails and instant messaging usage
  • Using all Microsoft office programs to generate account reports, revenue reports, and documents
Requirements

Financial Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary education
  • BSc degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA certification is a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years in accounting related experience
  • Minimum 1-year bookkeeping experience
  • Financial Certification (preferred, not mandatory)

Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven work experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable role
  • Organized and has ability to accurately process numerical data
  • Strong attention to detail while being able to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet daily deadlines
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a group setting in a high volume, fast-paced, and demanding environment
  • Requires high degree of accuracy when handling discrepancies
  • Good with numbers and calculations
  • Advanced level with Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are a must
  • Fluency in Mandarin or Dutch an asset
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing between international internal finance/business team and external clients
  • Experience in affiliate marketing or campaign management preferred
  • Knowledge of media, advertising, marketing, and/or digital buying, planning and strategy is a plus
