Accounts Payable Accountant

Overview
We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist within our corporate finance team at our Amsterdam head office. You will work closely with Accounts Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL) specialists, fostering a team-oriented environment that leverages each member's expertise. This collaboration aims to optimize our processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure the best use of time, knowledge, and skills across the team. The finance team consist of 12 people, you will report to the AP/AR Team Leader.

Responsibilities:
- Timely processing and payment of supplier invoices and employee expenses;
- Reconciliation of company bank accounts;
- Assistance in month end and year end activities;
- Review and make changes in vendor master data;
- Communicate and collaborate with international colleagues and vendors;
- Provide back-up support for day-to-day tasks of other finance team members.
- Collaborate with various finance departments including AR, GL, and Credit Control to enhance team synergy and efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements, increasing team efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- 0-3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable (or Accounts receivable) department;
- Experience on diverse payment platforms;
- Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics (MBO/HBO);
- Located in the Netherlands;
- Good verbal and written communication in English (Dutch is an advantage);
- Good skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Experience with Exact Globe is an advantage.
