What does your internship entail?

In Business Intelligence, the idea is that business information is presented in a fashion where it will support better business decision making. We are involved with a high variety of tasks that include modelling, maintaining the Data Warehouse, creating reporting environments and predictive models for business decisions and operations. We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to help us with our daily operations and make research reports about new technologies to improve our systems.

What does your work entail?

As fulltime Accounts Payable Accountant in our Finance team, you will be responsible for a variety of Accounts Payable duties. These include recording and coding of incoming invoices and approval verification. By working with international suppliers and partners you identify missing elements in the invoice (approval) process. Although a regular day doesn’t truly exist due to continue growth, theoretically your day could look like this:

Morning:

  • Process daily accounts payable transactions and ensure the follow-up
  • Monitor a portfolio of accounts for the entity and/or business unit of responsibility to regularly assess payables condition and prioritize work;

Lunchtime @ our roof terrace, provided by our amazing canteen lady!

Afternoon:

  • Prepare payment files as part of the corporate payment cycle
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies; maintain records and vendor files
  • Help in month-end-closing

Who are you?

Job description

We are looking for a Financial Administrative Employee (fulltime) to join our finance team located at our headquarters in Amsterdam.  We are looking for someone who is flexible and can get their hands in a variety of different administrative tasks which – amongst others – consists of record keeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and journal entry posting. Our ideal candidate will function an all-round financial, having the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, multi-national accounting environment.

Overall Job Responsibilities:

  • Helps with GL entries & account analysis;
  • Prepare and perform bank reconciliations;
  • Preparation of customer invoicing (partially delegated to team members);
  • Conducting the daily booking of accounts receivable and accounts payable;
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned financial line items;
  • Timely preparation of assigned account reconciliations;
  • Assist in month end closing;
  • Identify and analyse unusual or reconciling items and take appropriate actions to resolve exceptions and reconciling items in a timely manner;
  • Support other members of Finance in other projects as needed.

Minimum requirements that you need to meet:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (at least HBO);
  • 3+ years of accounting experience in an international company;
  • Fluency in English and Dutch, both orally and in writing;
  • Good communication and problem solving/analytical skills;

Role Description:

In this role as a Junior Product Manager you will be in charge of our current product portfolio and help out getting new products launched. You will deal with our project management team, marketing team and our development team on a daily basis in order to get the best know-how on our products.

Overall Job Responsibilities:

  • A/B testing new designs
  • Come up with new campaigns for our current product portfolio
  • Get the best ROI on our current traffic

What will your Internship entail?

This internship is a full-time position (40 hours per week) that can last between 5 – 6 months. You will be working within the Product Management team of about 8 people. You will also be working closely with the other inhouse departments such as Development, Design/Studio, Marketing and Business Intelligence. This will give you the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of work experience. We have an international team and we are working on multiple exciting projects around the word.

It will consist of the following activities:

  • Daily monitoring of the performance for each country and conduct investigation internally as well as with external partners
  • Identify business improvements and opportunities
  • Support department with operational tasks
  • Support pilot projects within the team
  • Conducting Strategic research – such as:
    • Market research
    • Marketing analysis
    • Competitor research
    • Pricing analysis
  • You will work closely together with different departments
  • You will keep track of the different projects/milestones

Background:

You are a third- or fourth-year student graduating for bachelor or masters in a relevant direction (for example Business Studies, Communication and Online Marketing).

  • You are studying in the Netherlands.
  • You have affinity with numbers and trends.
  • You are proficient in English (both spoken and written).
  • Able to work well within a team setting
